課程概述 |
1. 本課程適合正在修習國際生華語「初級一」課程的學習者選修。本課程旨在透過各種真實生活情境，協助學習者鞏固已學的詞彙語法，並使學習者能練習將所學應用於日常生活，達到與人溝通之目的。
This course is aimed at those who are taking Elementary I of the NTU General Chinese Language Course. By providing a variety of real-life situations, this course aims to help students brush up on the four language skills, especially on listening and speaking skills, which enable the learners to effectively communicate in daily conversations.
2. 本課程授課語言以中文為主，英文為輔。
This course will be conducted mainly in Chinese. English will be used only when referring to basic grammar principles and relevant key points.

課程目標 |
1. 強化基本的聽說讀寫能力，並以提升聽說技巧為核心目標。
Develop the basic language skills, especially listening and speaking skills.
2. 能以基本華語完成生活中的交際任務。
Communicate with basic vocabulary and grammar, and deal with real-world tasks such as self-introduction, discussing daily routines, buying things, ordering in restaurants, etc.

課程要求 |
(1) 上課不可無故遲到或早退。遲到或早退超過二十分鐘，視同缺席一小時。
Attend the class on time. Arriving more than 20 minutes late or leaving 20 minutes early will be counted as a one-hour absence.
(2) 每次上課皆須攜帶課本、講義。
Bring all the materials you are supposed to use when you come to class.
(3)上課應積極參與課堂討論，不應從事與課程無關的活動。
It is essential to participate in classroom activities and class discussion. You should not write homework or do other things unrelated to the course during class time.
(4)上課請說中文，不說其他非中文語言。
Chinese is the language of the classroom. You must speak Chinese at all times.
(5)上課可以喝飲料，但不能吃東西。
Water and soft drinks are allowed, but no food is allowed in class.
(6)上課期間請將手機轉為震動或靜音。
Phones must be set on silent mode during class time. |

出席 Attendance |
15% |
(1) 上課不可無故遲到或早退。遲到或早退超過二十分鐘，視同缺席一小時。
Attend the class on time. Arriving more than 20 minutes late or leaving 20 minutes early will be counted as a one-hour absence.
(2) 若因故無法出席，應在上課以前寫E-mail向老師請假。每學期至多可缺席六個小時（含遲到及早退），不扣分。超過六個小時，每小時扣出席成績1分。
Notify the instructor in advance if you are unable to attend class. Students are allowed a maximum of 6 hours excused absence (including late-coming and early-leaving). From the 7th hour on, one point will be deducted for each hour of absence.
(3) 缺課的人，應在下次上課前詢問同學當天上課的內容，以及作業和小考的範圍。
If you miss a class, you should ask a classmate about what has been taught that day, what the assignment is and what is going to be covered on the dictation quiz. |

課堂表現及參與 Performance & Participation |

作業 Homework |
15% |
(1) 應準時繳交作業，遲交該份作業成績扣10分，且應在一周內補交，超過規定時間視同未交。
All assignments must be handed in on time. 10 points will be deducted for late homework. Assignments not received within one week past the due date will receive a grade of zero.
(2) 若請假，則應提前繳交作業或請同學代交，否則視同未交。You should hand in your homework early (before the deadline) or ask a classmate to hand in your homework for you if you will be absent on the day it is due. |

平時測驗與小考 Quizzes and Review Tests |
15% |
(1) 每次上課（期中考及期末考除外）都有聽寫小考。上課鐘響就考試，遲到、請假或缺席者不補考。聽寫成績中，最差的五次分數將不予計算。
A dictation quiz will be given at the start of every class (except when taking the mid-term and final exams). No make-up quiz will be provided. The lowest 5 quiz scores will be dropped.
(2) 每上完一課會安排一次複習考，內容為筆試（含聽力測驗）。
A review test will be given at the end of every topic.
(3) 如有作弊行為，當次考試以零分計算。
Any student who is caught cheating will receive a grade of zero on the test. |

期中考 Midterm Exam |

(1) 包括筆試（含聽力測驗）及口試。
The exam consists of listening comprehension, a written test and an oral test.
(2) 期中考將於指定日期舉行，不能補考。若因無法避免的因素無法參加考試，須提前告知老師並擇期補考，否則將以零分計算。
